Norwegian Forest!!

Some of u probably had no idea what is Norwegian Forest. Well same happened to me earlier, i strongly believe that Pablo is a local mainecoon mixed with persians..but his doctor kept tellin me tht he's a norwegian forest cat, considering his soft hair, squirrel tail & long body..owh yea he's muscular too..I cant tell the differences much, he's my 1st cat. Then i had few guests, who were cat lovers too & i was told that the way he jumps, or run, not like a normal cat. So i googled, and found this pic. And i compared to my Pablo..yeah la, not much different. So i checked with my fren Zana who sold the cat to me. Even she didnt know about it, but noticed the differences. And this species is very rare in Malaysia.

Norwegian Forest Cats have a thick fluffy double-layered coat, long tufts of fur in ears and between toes, and a long bushy tail to protect them against the cold. Their coat is essentially waterproof due to its water repellent outer layer and dense underlay. They are very large cats with adult males weighing 6 to 10 kg (13 to 22 lb), while females may be smaller. Their hind legs are longer than their front legs. They are very intelligent, playful cats that enjoy human company but can get upset if left alone for a long period of time. And this explains why Pablo always need aircond ;-) and yeah, he kuat merajuk hahaha

Behavior

Like Maine Coons, Norwegian Forest Cats are an intelligent, robust and playful breed. They like the outdoors, are well suited to cold conditions and are great hunters. Despite their great affection for the outdoors, they also enjoy the company of humans and other pets and will sometimes go looking for company if left alone by their owners. They are not easily stressed and are quite patient, which makes them great for a family with children. They appreciate high vantage points and enjoy climbing trees, or, if they are indoor cats, climbing on appliances, bookshelves and other elevated surfaces in the home. Norwegian Forest Cats are very good family pets and do not need too much maintenance, only a comb at least once a week, without which the coat can become knotted and tangled. They are extremely loyal and good talkers.

Norwegian Forest Cat is a breed of domestic cat native to Northern Europe, and adapted to a very cold climate. In Norway they are known as the skogkatt/skaukatt which means forest cat ("skog" and 'skau" being alternate words for "forest" in different Norwegian dialects), or more formally as the Norsk Skogkatt (Norwegian Forest Cat). A common name for them is weegie.

The breed is very old, and occurred as a natural adaptation to the cold climate of the region, but it was not regarded as anything other than a standard house-cat until the late 1930s, when a small number of 'Skaukatten' were shown in Germany and received very favorably by the judges. World War II brought an abrupt end to the fledgling Norwegian show cat industry, and the breed was forgotten until the 1970s. The cats are now being bred and shown in several countries including the United States. The first international association to accept the breed was FIFe, in 1977. They are rumored to be the early ancestors of the Maine Coon and the long-haired Manx.

Chapter 2 - Pablo Escobar

Intro..how it all started

This blog is dedicated to all of my animals..those creatures who actually thought me d real meaning of love between us creatures of God ;-) I was a reptile & aqua person back then when dad was still around. I was in a very serious relationship back then in 2008. Ans my ex gf decided to get a cat, considering i'm a workaholic so i agreed. I've never been a cat person before, not that i hate cats but i wasn't that interested to have any. But i admit, i did complained bout the cat' s litters etc ;-) And i do remember, my ex once told me, at least the cat has always been with her whenever i'm not around for outstations etc Long story short, we brokeup a week b4 2009's Valentines Day. And i accidentally had Pablo the cat with me. That was when i started choosing the foods on my own, litters, vitamins, worm syrups etc My ex didnt return any calls/sms whenever I needed all these info's. But i did refer to mom alot, she once asked me to talk to Pablo when Pablo poo on my bed (n i was like, WTH? ).

I then chose to be alone, away from everyone as it reminds me alot of my ex gf, and amazingly Pablo made me feel so content. He sleeps in my arms, pamper me and always there to listen to all my tears, complaints as if he's feelin d same way i did. I once lost him for 8 days, I turned crazy. I cant sleep, or eat, God knows how much i cried, behind this so called Rockheaded brutal Wafiey, yeah i finally
realized how love can turn u to be a different person. but all these differences were actually me. Just like my ex told me, but this time i told myself, tht Pablo has always been around me..and that dear all, is Love from God.
